baptism outfit close-up

We didn't have any pics posted of the little guy's
baptism outfit close up. Jasons Godmother Charlsie
made the blanket that Lauer is sitting on.

Getting too long for the tub

Pretty soon the sling will have to come out! He's
just growing like a weed, he'll be 8 weeks tomorrow
and doesn't fit into any of his 0-3 mo clothes anymore!
It makes me sad to be boxing them up already!

First stroller ride

My dad and I took Lauer
for his first stroller ride outside
yesterday. He was out before we
made it to the end of the driveway.
We've found our nap-inducer!!

Our Princess is gone

On Sunday night May 3rd our princess Nilla passed away.
She had been looking like she was getting better and her blood levels were holding but the vet thinks maybe she had cancer and ended up having a PE and passed quietly in her sleep while under their care.
We are all just heartbroken. Nilla was the best tempered and loving dog that I think anyone could have had the pleasure of having. Our lives feel so empty without her. Everywhere we look we expect to see her.
Jason and I did go and see her one last time to say goodbye and she looked so beautiful and peaceful. Just like she was sleeping. We both expected her to just open her eyes at any moment. It was so hard to for us to leave knowing that it would be the last time we ever would see her or pet her silky ears. Our hearts just hurt.
Jason got Nilla for me as a surprise for my 25th birthday. We drove up to a farm and there were 8 little fat yellow puppies running around. Nilla actually picked us. She sat right at our feet and looked at us with those big brown eyes, and for the next almost eight years we had the joy of seeing those big brown eyes every day. Nilla would have been 8 on mothers day, she passed away just one week short of her birthday. She has such a pure and good soul, heaven is lucky to have her.
Naya, Moose, Bodey, and Joxter are all out of sorts and very mopey. When we brought her collar and leash home from the vets I think when they sniffed it and nuzzled us that they knew what happened, you can tell that they are mourning for her too. She was the matriarch and they all loved her too.
We luckily have so many wonderful memories and pictures of her, she was so much more than just a pet to us, she was truly our friend. We just wish that Lauer could have grown up to know her too. We will never ever forget our "yellow-dog", she is irreplaceable.
